Hydraulic Header Tilt
The hydraulic header tilt cylinder allows you to adjust header and
guard angles on-the-go from the comfort of the cab, enabling you to
get the knife and guards closer to the ground for recovery of downed
crops and improved performance in crops such as peas, lentils and
edible beans. For all MacDon 900 Series headers. |
Hydraulic Fore-Aft Reel
Positioner
With this draper header fore and aft reel positioner, you’ll be able
to adjust the reel position to changing crop and field conditions
on-the-go from the cab. For MacDon Harvest Headers. |
Spring Loaded Gauge Wheels
Designed for MacDon’s draper headers, these spring loaded wheels
help cushion the ends of the header when moving over field
obstacles. The size of wheels vary depending on draper header model
(check with dealer for details). For MacDon Harvest Headers 30' and
larger and 974 FlexDrapers. |
Upper Cross Auger
Attached in front of the back tube, the upper cross auger improves
feeding of crop to the center in heavy crop conditions. It is ideal
for high volume harvesting of forages, oats, canola, mustard and
other tall, hard to feed crops. 21' auger on 963, full length auger
on 972 and 973 Harvest Headers and 974 FlexDraper. |
Gauge Rollers
Gauge rollers are attached behind the cutterbar to reduce wear on
the cutterbar wear plate and improve the movement of the header over
uneven terrain, as well as in sand or firm soil conditions. For
MacDon auger headers, the 972 Harvest Header and the 933 Grass Seed
Special. |
Skid Shoes
The addition of adjustable skid shoes (shown with optional poly
cover on 973 Harvest Header) improves the placement of the cutterbar
in relation to the ground, thereby reducing wear on the cutterbar
and enhancing the in-field performance of the header. For all MacDon
Harvest Headers (Standard on 974 FlexDraper). |
Float Optimizer
MacDon’s Float Optimizer communicates with your combine’s
electronics to automatically adjust header flotation to ground
conditions for a consistently close cut. |
Stub Guards
Stub guards mount directly to the cutterbar to improve the header’s
cutting performance in tough, stringy grass type crops, and crops
that need to be cut close to the ground (such as grass seed and
edible beans). For all MacDon 900 Series headers, except model 963.
Poly Skids
If you routinely experience muddy harvesting conditions, or work in
crops like soybeans, rice, lentils and edible beans, these poly
skids permit smoother traveling of the cutterbar over the ground,
and reduce the likelihood of mud building up on the cutterbar. For
972 and 973 MacDon Harvest Headers (Standard on 974 FlexDraper).
Double Windrow Attachment
This attachment allows you to lay a double windrow of conditioned
crop. For all MacDon auger headers and double knife drive 972
Harvest Headers up to 25'. |
Self-Contained Header Transport
System
This system cushions and guides the ends of the header on MacDon’s
larger draper headers, plus enables transportation at slower road
speeds of 30' and larger headers between fields. The size of wheels
and transport configuration vary depending on draper header model
and size (check with dealer for details). For MacDon Harvest Headers
30' and larger and 974 FlexDrapers. Recommended for combine
application only. |
Self-Contained Header Transport
System – Without Flotation
Designed for slow speed transport of Harvest Headers between fields,
this quick and easy-to-use system allows you to tow the header
behind your MacDon SP tractor for traveling on public roads. For 21'
and 25' 972 Harvest Headers. |
