For Mounting A Draper Header On Your Combine
This specially designed adapter allows you to mount MacDon draper
headers on most current model combines. Its highly effective float
system employs coil springs to provide exceptional lateral and
vertical flotation over rolling and uneven terrain. Available for
most combines, an optional Float Optimizer (standard on 974) allows
the header to automatically adjust flotation to ground conditions,
eliminating the need for the operator to make constant adjustments.
Other features include MacDon’s “double pump” hydraulics (for twice
the power in high volume crops and reduced plugging), and either
manual or hydraulic adjustable header and guard angles to match
ground contour conditions, ensuring maximum recovery of downed
crops.

Double Hydraulic Pump
The adapter’s double pump is used to provide forward and reverse
flow to the RTD, feed draper, as well as more power for header side
drapers and some optional attachments.
Retracting Tine Drum (RTD)
This feature pre-forms the crop material for ideal presentation into
the feeder house, resulting in improved feeding into the combine’s
separator for smoother operation. The drum’s self-retracting tines
provide for more aggressive pulling of the crop, which results in
improved heads-first crop flow and substantially reduced likelihood
of bunching.
Coil Spring Flotation
The adapter’s low friction coil spring assemblies are mounted
vertically behind the header at the sides of the adapter. |
