First, to ensure you always have enough power for even the toughest crop conditions, we’ve created a highly efficient mechanical drive system for optimal power transfer to sickle. Our sickle drive system features MacDon’s exclusive oil bath wobble box which operates at a standard speed of 1,450 S.P.M. on the single sickle 912. The dual sickle 922 can be operated at either 1,875 S.P.M. for tough cutting conditions or 1,450 S.P.M. for longer sickle life.

Next, we’ve ensured gentle and thorough conditioning of the crop with minimal leaf loss with MacDon’s smartly designed 722 Hay Conditioner. The 722 features curved V-Bar conditioner rolls set in a non-contact steel-on-steel spiral design that provides 10 intermeshing conditioning points. The result – more crimps per stalk and more gentle crimping overall. These two benefits translate into faster dry down time for the swath which, in turn, provides for improved retention of your hay or forage quality.
